Samoan cultural club

The 1960s and 70s saw a significant increase in the number of migrants from Samoa, many of whom came on temporary three-month work permits and then stayed. One sign of the growing Samoan community was the emergence of Samoan cultural groups in New Zealand. The young members of one such group were photographed at the Porirua Polynesian Centre in April 1973.
