Lakes of Raoul Caldera

Looking across the Raoul caldera you can see Green Lake (foreground), with Blue Lake behind. The hill in the centre is the remnant of a pumice cone formed during an eruption at about 1650 AD. It was partly destroyed during the eruptions in 1870 and 1964, and Green Lake fills the hole that was left.
