Dough scraps (1st of 3)

Dough scraps

The outlines of super wine biscuits that did not make the grade litter this dough pile at the Griffin’s biscuit factory in Lower Hutt. Griffin’s super wine, wine and gingernut biscuits will be familiar to many New Zealanders. The Lower Hutt factory opened in 1938 and closed in 2008 but production continued at a revamped Papakura factory, which had originally opened in 1967.
