Union Jack and colonial flags

The New Zealand flag represents the country's historical ties with Britain through the presence of the Union Jack in the upper left quarter. Here, the flag (top right) is displayed with the Union Jack (centre) and other British-colony flags on a postcard probably produced during the South African War (1899–1902).
