Exploring deep fiords

Exploring deep fiords

Divers can only work safely in depths of up to 50 metres. To explore the deepest reaches of the fiords scientists rely on ROVs (remotely operated vehicles), which carry video cameras and lights. This footage was taken from an ROV as it descended from 150 metres to a fiord floor, at 260 metres.
