Chain-and-slot type catch (6th of 6)

Chain-and-slot type catch

This gate catch has a chain welded onto a metal strap, which is secured onto a concrete post. The chain wraps around the gate frame and slots into a hook that is welded onto the strap. It is less likely that the chain can be lifted out of the slot by cattle.
