Story: Farm fencing
The gate at far right is swung, and gives access to the paddock. The gate at left is not often used. Held up with wire, it is too small for the gateway, and three standards have been used to block up the rest of the space. Wooden gates are strong and form a good visual barrier, but they are heavy and need a big post to swing from. When the original post breaks, it is not uncommon to find a gate left unswung and held up with No. 8 wire.
