Diabetes warning (1st of 2)

Diabetes warning

Poor diet, obesity and a genetic disposition have been advanced as reasons a large number of Pacific people develop Type 2 diabetes, which increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, lower-limb amputation and kidney failure. This 2008 poster showing a Pacific woman on a dialysis machine sought to raise awareness of the health risks of diabetes.
