In addition to lobbying government, the Business Roundtable operates as a ‘think tank’. It researches and publishes on the issues it is concerned with, has a lecture series, and arranges visits from overseas experts and commentators. This is the 2009 Sir Ronald Trotter lecture, an annual event commemorating the work of one of the Business Roundtable founders. It was delivered by Stephen Jennings, a New Zealander who owns and runs Moscow-based global investment bank Renaissance Capital.
