Kahikatea

Kahikatea

Kahikatea (Dacrycarpus dacrydioides) dominates the canopy of this swamp forest at Waitangiroto Lagoon in Westland. High rainfall and a mild climate ensure that the natural cover of large parts of the West Coast lowland is rainforest.
