Story: Duck shooting
The Australasian shoveler, also known as the ‘spoonie’, sifts fine insect life from the waters of wetlands through openings in the side of its spoon-shaped bill. The bird is only about half the size of a mallard, and flies rapidly and erratically, making it difficult to shoot.
