Velvet exports, 1991–2007

Velvet exports, 1991–2007

After very low initial exports of deer velvet, the value increased sharply and remained at a high level from 1992–96, then settled to a more stable lower level. New Zealand is one of the major suppliers of velvet to the world market, and 90% of exports go to Korea and Hong Kong.
