Story: Deer and deer farming
The first hunting licences were issued by the Nelson Acclimatisation Society in 1882 and cost £1. This 1918 licence shows a fee of £1 1s (one guinea) for up to six bucks or stags with no less than four ‘points’ (on the antlers) each.
