Pollard's Liliputian Opera, 1899

Tom Pollard's Liliputian Opera Company was a touring company which offered light comedies.This poster advertises Saucy Susie, which was based on a popular melodrama, Black-eyed Susan, about corruption in the British navy. It played at the Opera House in Wellington in April 1899.
