Story: Crabs, crayfish and other crustaceans
The small cylindrical animals with long antennae are copepods. They are an important food for fish larvae. New Zealand marine scientists are interested in determining the factors that govern high levels of copepods, and how these influence the condition of valuable fisheries such as hoki and orange roughy.
