Story: Corals, anemones and jellyfish
Bubblegum coral is the largest sea-floor invertebrate in the world. It is found on the ocean floor at depths of around 1 kilometre. Some of the largest specimens have been trawled up in New Zealand waters. The piece being examined by scientist Di Tracey is thought to be between 300 and 500 years old.
