Cook Islands populations by place of residence

This graph shows where most Cook Islanders lived in the early 2000s: far more were living in New Zealand and Australia than in the Cook Islands. While the Australian figure is an estimate only, it does show that a large community has become established there. By the early 2000s Australia was a favoured destination among many Cook Islanders. The Cook Islands population totals include minorities of other ethnicities.
