Story: Coastal shoreline
Paddle crab populations have increased since the 1980s, possibly because overfishing has reduced snapper and dogfish, their main predators. Humans are also major predators of the crabs, harvesting them commercially from east coast beaches. This crab has just been bought and is ready for cooking.
