Story: Coastal shoreline
Brown seaweeds grow around the low-tide level of rocky coasts. Most are anchored to rocks with a tough holdfast, and have flexible fronds that sweep back and forth in the tide. These seaweeds are growing in a surge channel at Woolleys Bay, Northland.
