Miners in a political argument

Miners in a political argument

In this 1945 photograph by John Pascoe, two veteran miners are in earnest debate about the politics of the day. They were photographed at Seddonville, just north of Charming Creek. During the 1940s the state took over a number of mines, and this became a topic of intense discussion in the mining community.
