Story: Citrus, berries, exotic fruit and nuts

Preparing tamarillos for export

Tamarillos are egg-shaped fruit, dark red or gold. Although they are of South American origin, New Zealand is the major grower. The industry expanded after the Second World War, and this 1969 film shows people harvesting and packing the fruit on an orchard in Kerikeri, Northland.
