Leithfield windmill

Best known as a novelist, George Chamier was also an amateur painter, and is thought to have lived at Leithfield some time between 1866 and 1868. This painting shows the windmill that was a landmark in the town. It no longer survives, but one of the main streets is named Mill Road.
