Motu Kōkako (Hole in the Rock)

The Tūnui-ā-rangi canoe first landed at Motu Kōkako (Hole in the Rock) in the Bay of Islands, before heading south to Ngunguru and Whāngārei. Some say that the Moekākara canoe also landed near this famous rock.
