Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Christchurch

Clad in Ōamaru limestone, the Catholic Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Christchurch is one of New Zealand’s finest classical buildings. It was opened in 1905. Francis Petre designed the building in a renaissance basilica style, and it is constructed from concrete sheathed with limestone.
