Kings Seeds in Katikati
Kings Seeds was an Auckland company selling seeds by mail order. In 1999 the new owners (themselves from the lower North Island) relocated to Katikati. The move demonstrated that a Bay of Plenty town could attract businesses able to be based away from their markets.
