Maketū wetlands

Maketū wetlands

The wetlands at Maketū are part of a sequence that extends the length of the Bay of Plenty – from the northern end of Tauranga Harbour to Ōhiwa, between Whakatāne and Ōpōtiki. All these wetlands provide refuge for wading birds and other bird species.
