The mainstay of NAC’s fleet of aircraft between the 1940s and early 1960s was the DC3. Reliable and versatile, with the ability to land on grass or seal runways, the DC3s were regarded with great affection by a generation of passengers. This one at Mangaweka has been converted into a roadside café.
