TEAL flying boat
Standing on a Solent flying boat at Wellington’s Evans Bay, Mr Dobson (left) of Wellington radio station 2YA interviews chief engineer G. V. Brann of Tasman Empire Airways Ltd (TEAL) in December 1950. The airline ran a service to Sydney from Mechanics Bay in Auckland, but later they also operated from Evans Bay in Wellington.
