Muldoon’s Rocky horror (2nd of 3)

Muldoon’s Rocky horror

Following his government’s 1984 election defeat, Robert Muldoon lost the leadership of the National Party and became a backbencher. This gave him more time for other pursuits. Among the more surprising was a stint as narrator of the camp musical The Rocky horror show in 1986 – he received thunderous applause for his attempts at a pelvic thrust. In this image he and his wife Thea pose with the cast and crew of the show.
