Bro’Town was New Zealand’s first primetime animated television show. It features the misadventures of five Polynesian teenagers – Vale, Valea, Sione, Mack and Jeff da Maori – who live in the Auckland suburb of Morningside. Its Auckland creators call it ‘proudly suburban’ and ‘non-PC’ (politically correct). The show has been hugely popular with audiences, although some critics have accused it of promoting racial stereotypes. In this clip the friends reunite after Vaela and Vale have been released from a period in foster care.
