Story: Auckland region

Lifestyle blocks

Lifestyle blocks

Throughout the region many dairy and sheep farms have been subdivided. They are bought by Aucklanders moving from suburban homes to lifestyle blocks on the edge of town – usually a few hectares where they build large houses. Many run a few animals or begin cottage industries. Others commute to Auckland or work from home. These houses are near Albany.
