Nīkau Cave
Anne Woodward stands in a section of the 1-kilometre Nīkau Cave (near Port Waikato). The cave features a wide collection of limestone pillars, stalactites and stalagmites. Glow-worms hang in dewy threads from cathedral-like caverns, and a shallow stream flows along the cave’s length.
