Herne Bay villas

Herne Bay villas

From the 1970s Auckland’s inner city suburbs were gentrified. As landlords sold their rental properties, the tenants were forced to find new homes, often in South Auckland. Villas and cottages formerly dismissed as slums were transformed into fashionable heritage homes. These villas in Herne Bay are now among the most expensive in the city.
