Tony Fomison, 'Each must decide'

The distorted faces emerging out of a dark background, the surreal moonlight and the challenging title were all characteristic of Tony Fomison's paintings. This one was completed in the early 1970s and shows influences of both his teacher, the expressionist Rudolf Gopas, and, in the colour palette, of Colin McCahon.
