Levin Horticultural Research Station

Just south of Levin the Department of Agriculture established a horticultural research station to conduct research on all horticultural crops, including ornamentals. This tomato crop is being grown for certified seed. The station was closed and staff transferred to HortResearch Palmerston North after the Crown research institutes were formed in 1992.
