Women in aviation

Three pilots – two female and one male – prepare to go flying, some time in the 1930s. A few New Zealand women learned to fly during the 1920s and 1930s, but military and commercial aviation training opportunities were largely closed to them. Regional aero clubs were the main training ground for women pilots.
