A & P (agricultural and pastoral) shows are often social highlights in New Zealand’s rural communities, and Northland is no exception. Reuben Carter of the Opononi Axemen’s Club is shown competing in the Two Man Standing Chop Butcher’s Block event, at the 2002 Whāngārei A & P show.
