Estonian chess player Ortvin Sarapu

An Estonian who arrived in New Zealand in 1950 as a displaced person, Ortvin Sarapu established a place for New Zealand chess in international competitions. Though he had to earn his living in other pursuits, he represented New Zealand at 10 chess Olympiads.
