Ngāti Whātua settlement at Ōkahu Bay

Despite welcoming the Pākehā to Auckland, Ngāti Whatua rapidly lost their lands there, and by 1854 had only the Ōrākei block at Ōkahu Bay. This photograph shows the settlement in 1907.
