Henry Fox Chaffey, 1868–1951; Annie Selina Chaffey, 1877–1953

Henry Chaffey spent his years prospecting the asbestos deposits of the Cobb River. He and his wife Annie lived in a dwelling known as Asbestos Cottage. Chaffey later became the caretaker of the nearby quarry. He was an enthusiastic advocate for the development of asbestos deposits in the region.
