William Henry Gummer, 1884–1996

W. H. Gummer trained as an architect in England between 1909 and 1912. In partnership with C. R. Ford he designed many public buildings and war memorials, including the Massey memorial. In 1930 he won a competition to design the National War Memorial in Wellington.
